Bibliografia
In ambito internazionale numerosi contributi interdisciplinari sono stati presentati e pubblicati in occasione dell'"International Congress on Science and Technology for the Safeguard of Cultural Heritage in the Mediterranean Basin", Alcalà de Henares, Spagna, 2001, durante la "Second International Conference on Science and Technology in Archaeology and Conservation" Zarqa, Giordania, 2003, nonché in occasione del IX e del X Congresso Internazionale "Deterioration and Conservation of Stone", tenutisi rispettivamente a Venezia nel 2000 e a Stoccolma nel 2004.
I materiali", Carocci, Firenze, 1999; A. Boeri, "Pietre naturali nelle costruzioni", Hoepli, Milano, 1996; M. Collepardi, L. Coppola, "I materiali negli edifici storici. Degrado e restauro", Enco, Milano, 1995.
Bartos, “Nanotechnology in construction”, The Royal Society of Chemistry, Cambridge 2004; E. L. Wolf , "Nanophysics and Nanotechnology: An Introduction to Modern Concepts in Nanoscience", John Wiley & Sons, 2004; C. P. Poole, F. J. Di contro la bibliografia relativa alle APPLICAZIONI DELLE NANOTECNOLOGIE nel settore della conservazione dei beni culturali risulta molto scarna. Since the energy crisis occurred in the '70s, after decades of cultural development, we have been accustomed to the idea that dealing with the historic-artistic heritage means, as ultimate goal, protecting it. The need to recover it, restore it and preserve it led us to use proper technologies and operational methodologies. However, analysing both the final outcomes of some interventions which indeed have caused severe damages, if not the whole loss of an asset, and the current condition of the greater part of this important heritage, we must notice its alarming precariousness. It is right from here that some more careful conservation interventions, less invasive and more respectful towards the historic matter, are needed.Italian culture has recently established the idea that conservation is linked to a combination of operations. At the international meeting held in Palermo ‘Reliable Conservation of Architectural Heritage’ (27-28 Sept. 2002), some clear statements have been highlighted: 1) knowledge about Cultural Heritage is multidisciplinary: it requires a JOINT APPROACH between new and traditional scientific disciplines, it can not be acquired once and for all but it proceeds step by step over time; 2) the expression COGNITIVE PROCESS is useful to delineate the sequence of moments sharing knowledge which can be also updated in the phase of conservation; 3) cultural property, with its own texture, is included in both a natural and built environment >>>
