In the light of the hermeneutical conceptions of "text" and "extra-text", the research is going to deal with the relationship existing between Nietzsche's philosophy and the Hegelian school. Reference will also be made to Schopenhauer's critical mediation: taking issue with Hegel, he did influence Nietzsche's critic of culture very much. Thus, Schopenhauer represents the most important connection between Nietzsche and the Hegelian inheritance. The research is intended to deepen the conclusions drawn in the international congresses which have been recently organised in Bologna: "Nietzsche. Illuminismo. Modernità" (November, 2000) and "Metafisica e nichilismo. Löwith e Heidegger interpreti di Nietzsche" (April, 2004).Professor Carlo Gentili will specifically deal with Nietzsche's relationship with Hegel, analysing Young Hegelians' mediation as well.
Professor Manlio Iofrida is going to dwell upon various French interpretations on Nietzsche's thought – mainly with Deleuze's, Foucault's and Derrida's. These thinkers share several arguments with Heidegger's interpretation on Nietzsche; the research is also meant to clarify this issue.
Professor Aldo Venturelli will deal with W. Müller-Lauter ‘s revision of Heidegger's interpretation on Nietzsche, also making a comparison with G. Abel.
The achievement the research aims for is a reconsideration of Niezscthe's conception of history, which, together with the conception of "genealogy", allows to go beyond Hegel's philosophy of history.
A congress will be organised in order to discuss the results of this research; it is intented to attach importance to a subject (the relationship between Nietzsche and Hegel) which has not been directly dealt with yet, even though it is well-known to the international community Nietzsche-Forschung.
